 Case Study

The Problem

TEDx Nashville wanted to sell more tickets, engage its audience, and attract stronger talent. Like many live events, they had the structure and credibility, but something was missing.

After meeting with the director, it became clear they didn’t need more marketing. They needed momentum. TEDx had powerful ideas, but they weren’t being felt. The talks were compelling, but the experience wasn’t unforgettable.

Our job was to change that. To turn a respected event into something people wouldn’t just attend, but remember.

Here's how we did it...

The Process

Over coffee, we mapped out every element of the show and how it flowed from one moment to the next. It became clear why the energy dipped between speakers. The audience needed something to hold their attention and bridge the gaps. The Emcee wasn't cutting it.

The answer was video.

I proposed a series of short “mini-bio” films that introduced each speaker before they walked on stage. These pieces would build anticipation, create an emotional connection, and make the audience care about the person behind the ideas.

From there, the vision for a more connected and engaging event began to emerge.

The Solution

We produced eight custom “Mini-Bio” films for the artists featured in the Artist Mind event at Category 10 in Nashville. Each piece was built from curated social clips, music videos, and behind-the-scenes footage, then narrated by Kristian Bush of Sugarland.

In just two minutes, each film captured where the artist came from and what fueled their passion, set to the rhythm of their own music. When the names appeared on screen, the room went silent. The crowd watched, completely locked in, and then burst into applause as the artist they had just met walked on stage.

The energy shift was obvious. The flow of the show changed.

Then we got the question every creator wants to hear. Can you do it again?

The Future Of

THE OUTCOME

After the success of Artist Mind, we were invited to produce eight more “Mini-Bio” films for the TEDx Future of Joy event. What began as an experiment became a reliable system any organization can use to elevate its experience through storytelling.

We proved that you don’t need a massive media footprint to look and feel like an authority. The event felt more curated, more intentional, and more engaging. Speakers loved seeing their work showcased for hundreds of people, building trust and credibility before ever stepping on stage.

Each event grew in quality and reputation, setting the stage for even bigger names in the future.

Creating Connection

Live events may seem like fleeting moments, but their impact can last long after the lights go down. The truth is, an event only matters if people know it’s happening.

That became another opportunity to make an impact for TEDx Nashville. Beyond editing and production, our team is present at the events to capture the emotion, the energy, and the moments that move people to buy tickets and get involved.

The result is a complete approach. We create content that builds anticipation before the event, heightens engagement during it, and keeps the conversation alive long after it ends.

Above are a few examples of the social content we’ve created to keep the TEDx story going.
